Make an appointment for the handover of your new Goldfish Boat.
Please read the information below before committing to an appointment with us.
A proper introduction
It´s important for us to give all Goldfish Owners a proper introduction to their new boats. The “handover” gives you the chance to verify the quality and performance, and get to know your new boat before taking it into use. We usually cover a thorough walkthrough, sea-trial, and what to look out for when learning to operate your new boat.
You, as an owner, decide how we spend the time booked for you!

Settlement
At Goldfish, we have only one strict rule: No boats are handed over to the client before all financial requirements are settled and registered at our account. Please make sure this is resolved in good time before the appointment. Any questions, please contact Jørgen at +47 928 40 262
Insurance
As soon as the boat is completed and paid, the boat is legally yours. This means you need insurance – if you want one.
Equipment
Feel free to order any additional equipment for your boat through the Goldfish Online Store. Please leave a comment in the “webshop check-out” that you would like the items to follow your new boat at the handover.
Logistics and preparations
The Goldfish Shipyard runs all year round, manufacturing new boats for the upcoming season. Due to the harsh winter conditions, most clients choose to keep their boats with us until the season starts. Entirely understandable, but it’s a logistical challenge. All the boats need to be transported, prepared, fuelled, and cleaned before your appointment.
To best solve this challenge, we ask you to commit to the appointment you book and not change it if not absolutely necessary. Thank you! We look forward to seeing you in SON!

How much time should I set aside for the hand-over?
That is very much up to you! Usually, a handover takes 1-2 hours, depending on how much time you would like to spend learning the boat. (Some get bored by Jørgen quickly, some don’t😂)
Do I need to bring anything to the handover?
No, there is nothing, in particular, you need to bring. Any loose equipment you ordered with the boat will follow. If you didn’t order it – it might be wise to bring lifejackets, ropes, and other equipment you would like to have on your first ride.
Can I change my booking?
Suppose there are 10 days until your booking, yes. Changing the time is no problem. If there is less time until your appointment, please contact Jørgen at +47 928 40 262, and he will help you. Please note that handling all the boats is a big logistic puzzle for us. Please avoid any unnecessary changes.
Can I bring a friend, wife, or my family to the handover?
Sure, bring whoever or as many as you like. Remember that this is your first encounter with the boat and a golden opportunity to learn how to operate the boat safely. It might be wise not to bring more people than necessary in order to keep focus and ask the questions you might have.
